Here at Hagen’s, we are always looking for ways to improve our service and offering, so, as of this Sunday this week (17/02/19) the quantity size of meat that can be purchased through our online store will be 500g.
Currently, our products are offered in a variety of quantities, ranging from 250gm to 2kg.
We’ve taken this action as a means to combat product wastage that is due in part to the unique sizes of product that are cut and prepared for each customer order. When packaging meat in differing quantities to fulfill orders, there can be meat wastage, as we may need to cut into a new primal, sometimes for only a small order, leaving the rest of the primal to potentially waste. Therefore, the best way to reduce this wastage is for uniform quantities for our online customers.
The products available on the website (apart from a select few inc. smallgoods, whole birds, etc.) will be available in 500g quantities as of 13/02/19. Our order dockets tell us that this change will be business as usual for most of you, who already purchase most of your mince, chuck and stirfry meat in 500g quantities.
