Glazed Ham with Cherry & Gin Glaze

When it comes to Christmas time, the Ham is the star of the show. You want to be able to show off your cooking skills and what better way to impress than to present a Cherry & Gin Glazed Ham. We've created a step by step recipe to teach you how to remove the rind, score, glaze and cook a mouth-watering ham that's sure to impress your family and friends over the most indulgent feast of the year!
  1. Pull back the rind on the Ham
  2. Lightly score the white fat in a criss-cross pattern
  3. ‘Stud’ the entire ham with cloves in the middle of the X where the criss-crosses meet
  4. Place the ham in a baking dish and use a pastry brush to cover it in the Cherry & Gin Glaze
  5. Bake at about 180C for around 20 minutes, or until the ham begins to brown.
  6. Do a second coat of the glaze, return it to the oven and continue to bake until browned all over
  7. Enjoy!

Remember that the ham has already been ‘cooked’ during the smoking process, and only needs to be baked until the glaze on top is golden — too much oven time will dry it out!
