    At Hagen’s, we are committed to sourcing organic meat through partnerships with farmers that care about their product, as well as the earth it is raised on.

    Our Lamb

    One of our lamb suppliers is Bultarra Farm, a certified organic farm which uses sustainable land and animal management as well as low-stress handling techniques. Bultarra Australian Saltbush Lamb is a premium lamb breed that is grazed on the unique Saltbush-based pastures in the pristine Australian outback. It's as fit for fine dining as it is for your family's table.

    Our other lamb supplier is Warilba which is also certified organic. Their lambs are entirely grass fed and finished. They are all raised ‘free range’ and never confined, living their entire lives roaming freely in organic pasture.

    Our Pork

    McIvor is the only producer we use to supply pork, and we have developed a strong relationship with this dedicated farming family over the years. The Hagan’s herd consists predominantly of Berkshire Old Breed and Berkshire cross-bred sows, boars and piglets.

    They're provided with shelter, water and supplemented with 100% Australian grain diets that are non-GMO and antibiotic free. The resulting flavour of the pork is exceptional.

    Old Breed Berkshire pigs grow slowly, creating marbled cuts prized for their delicious juiciness and flavour. This just might be the best ‘crackle’, ham or bacon you ever taste!

    Our Chicken

    One of our chicken suppliers is Bendele Farm, who are regarded as the leading supplier of organic poultry to the local market. We've been proudly working with them since the mid-2000s. The farm is certified organic and it maintains an extremely high standard of operation in order to produce higher-welfare flavourful poultry. The flocks have 24/7 access to pasture where they can frolick and scratch in the dust, and they primarily eat natural vegetation.

    Our other chicken supplier is Millawa Poultry. Russell and Tracey run a small-scale free-range chicken operation in Victoria's north-east. The chooks enjoy plenty of space and natural vegetation on the open pastures they roam around. Milawa Poultry produces just 1000 birds a week, which are judged “meaty with a gutsy flavour”, and are a favourite with chefs.

    Our organic beef is sourced from The Organic Meat Company who work alongside organic Australian farms that supply top quality produce and demonstrate commitment to upholding principles of organic farming.

    All of their beef is certified organic, grass fed, and hormone, chemical + pesticide free.
