We’re asking you, our customers to help drive the change for the removal of single use plastic bags in our community.
As part of our plan to cease using single-use carry bags from 01 May 2018, we have worked hard on sourcing alternative options for our customers, and have partnered with a local brand EnviraBags to create sustainably-sourced cotton cold bags and canvas totes.
These sustainable cold bags feature a unique design and are made from super strong, premium-grade, natural cotton that are perfect to carry around all your cold goods around the market.
The cooler bags are designed to keep food cool for up to 2-hours (add a few ice bricks to make extend the time). The bags have a flip-top with zip closure, they are fully lined and contain 50% recycled insulation.
We chose EnviraBags because they are committed to maintaining the highest ethical standards. EnviraBags proudly pays living wages to their staff and manufacture in their own ISO 9001 and SA 8000 accredited facility.
As of tomorrow, please remember to either bring in your own reusable carry bags or purchase one of our cooler bags or canvas totes in store.
